"A treasure, your shimmer."

Outside, we have snow. There will, it seems, be steady snow until sometime tomorrow. I should be at the sea.

I want the sea in this snow, or I want summer.

Yesterday, I wrote 1,672 words on Chapter Four of Red Delicious. Today, I'll begin Chapter Five.

Please have a look at the current eBay auctions. All the books will come with a "monster doodle." Also, Spooky getting new shinies up in her Etsy shop, Dreaming Squid Dollworks and Sundries.

If you haven't yet picked up a copy of Blood Oranges and the Alabaster: Wolves hardback collection, I hope you will soon.

Time to make the doughnuts.

Homesick (It's Complicated),
Aunt Beast

Can you go down and look at the waves? Are the tides too high?

Yesterday I went to Barnes and Noble, it was snowing, I meanadered, ended up in the new Science Fiction section (sorry, or congratulations),and there it was- Blood Oranges! The intro was awesome- something about killing monsters and fuck you. I bought it. Paperback trade version, sorry. Saving it for a special moment- when it's raining and I'm stoned- drinking a Saranac Dry Hop Lager. I actually love reading in my car in a park when it's raining.

The Sea. I want to see the sea again. I'd like to listen to it, from a seat in a bar on the beach, whilst having some totally gay tropical drink. I can hear the sea because the bar has NO WALLS, and a thatched roof. It is lit by tiki torches. Held by brown-skinned curvy women and slender lithely-muscled men. Who are oily, and their skin shines in the warm yellow light... Sigh.

1 AM Sat. night. Just finished reading Breed by Chase Novak. No one else to tell. One of the better pure horror novels I have read in a while- awesome, in fact. Nasty. Fucked up. Yay!

Elasmosaurus sculpt will be done in 2 months- Thalassomedon hanningtoni. Dr. carpenter advised. Denver museum type specimen. Shane is on it. Head and neck are oriented down, not up. Icthyosaur- Temnodontosaurus- next for the marine reptiles line.
