Holy shit snacks.

Er...great. I turn my back for five seconds and some ass widget "improves" LJ. Which is to say, of course, that they've fucked it up. I will admit, they've fucked it up rather impressively. There's a certain 1994-quality about the aesthetic. Such as this bullshit font it has me typing in. What the fuck is this? It must be some dictate of "social media" design that "If something doesn't need fixing, just change it before they realize the company can run without us."

Yeah, I know. I can "switch to old version," but my head hurts and this is going to be short, anyway (dot dot dot)

Yesterday I finished the book. But, you know that already. Still, I felt photographic evidence was necessary:

Yep, that's the last page. And yes, I do own more than one T-shirt. Oh, and Hubero's back is to the camera because he would neither get the hell out of the chair nor sign the release form.

And, too, this is interesting. I announced, yesterday evening, that I'd finished the novel, and I did so on Twitter, LJ, and FB simultaneously. There were – and thank you all very, very much – many congratulations. However, here's where it gets interesting. Comparing the numbers of thumbs-ups I received from the three, here's the breakdown:

Twitter: 7
LiveJournal: 26
Facebook: ~170

It's hard not to look at that and feel that it strongly suggests that, currently, Facebook is the vastly superior medium for speaking to my readers. Well, so long as I speak in only a few sentences, at most. Certainly, for promotion, Facebook would seem to hold much more promise than Twitter or LiveJournal. This doesn't mean I'm going to stop blogging. But I think it may help me promote my books more efficiently.

Okay, I've told my editors and agent that I am going into hiding until Monday. And, now, that's just what I'm going to do....
