Mr. Moo Moo

I know Spooky's getting old, because she just said "Hello, Mr. Moo Moo. What's up?" At least she wasn't talking to me.

Yesterday, I threw out everything I'd written on Chapter One of Fay Grimmer, changed the chapter title for the third time ("Underhill" > "Elves on Harleys"* > "Walking Spanish"). I will be using the earlier titles, for other chapters. Then I wrote 2099 words. May I do the same today.

* Stupidest chapter title ever. Which is sort of the point.

Good word count; hope you keep it up. "Elves on Harleys" should also be a song.

Happy birthday to Spooky too! Will you have a Kid's Night for it?

"Elves on Harleys" should also be a song.

Please, no.

Happy birthday to Spooky too! Will you have a Kid's Night for it?

It was too hot in the front parlor.

"Elves on Harleys"* => * Stupidest chapter title ever.

Depends - were you referring to motorbikes, or do you have two characters named Harley in the book?

What's perverted about piggyback rides? Elves can be small, people are big, they might need to travel fast. Happened all the time with Hobbits in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Or were you thinking of something else?

PS: Happy B'day to Spooky!

Shocked I am, positively shocked, that such an innocent comment could be so hideously misinterpreted. This is a YA book, is it not? There should be no place whatsoever for such innuendo - we must protect the delicate sensibilities of the innocent children, after all. There can be no higher goal, no more important aspiration, than that!

Elves on Harleys
Elves on Harleys just makes me think of the covers to the Bordertown books, which was way before most of the dreck that constitutes Urban fantasy at the moment.

Happy birthday, Spooky!

"Underhill" > "Elves on Harleys"* > "Walking Spanish"

I just like that as a progression.

Elves on Harleys
I swear to god I had an ex who insisted I read a novel in which this actually occurred.

Also, HAPPY BIRFDAY SPOOKY.
