Damn.

I've been avoiding all things Gaga, suspecting I'd be hooked, sooner or later. Now I've seen the video for "Bad Romance," and, well, it's happened. There's such an weird and wonderful mix of influences here (The Eurythmics, Bowie, Nomi, Nina Hagan, Queen, Lene Lovich, Grace Jones, and, well, it just goes on and on). Wow.

The Lady can sing.

One of us. One of us.

Also, if you can find a high quality video of her AMAs performance, watch it over and over again.

The one I linked to above is the best I could find. It seems that the opening shot was bad camerawork. They zoom in on her lying on the ground and then it gets much more focused. So most of it is high quality but some of the shots from a distance are a bit off.

Oh, no, not the VMAs, the AMAs (I'm sure there's not much difference, but I don't watch them myself, just wait until my friends post the highlights online, ha), the Bad Romance/Speechless performance.

It's actually appeared since last night when I was making my friend watch them.

I can't decide which part I liked most. She is reasonably naked, smashes a giant sheet of glass, plays a piano that's on fire and her violinists appear to be wearing gasmasks.
