Howard Hughes and the Sky Goblins

J. G. Ballard died yesterday.

I wrote 1,098 words on a new story, which I'm calling "At the Gate of Deeper Slumber." It's the piece I've been trying to get into for about a week and a half now. I think this is going to be an especially Lovecraftian issue of Sirenia Digest.

Bill Schafer at Subterranean Press tells me that the trade paperback of Alabaster is back from the printers, and should be shipping any day now.

Not much else to be said for yesterday. I didn't leave the house.

I have an especially disturbing "cyberstalker" with whom I'm quickly losing patience.

Spooky put together a new shelf for her sewing room.

Last night, we watched three more episodes from Season Three of Heroes. I am continually astounded at how this series can be so watchable without actually being very good. It's an especially palatable mediocrity. Spooky and I did a little WoW. We made it through Uldaman, which was rather disappointingly monotonous after the sunken temple of Atal'Hakkar. I finally reached Level 64. I read more of Lovecraft's "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath." Bad insomnia last night, and I was awake until almost 5 a.m. And that was yesterday.

My life manages to be just dull enough to be believable.

Next, please.
