"Someday I'll wish upon a star..."

I am on the ragged, tattered end of my last nerve. So, naturally tonight I had a tooth blow apart.

Sunny today, but there was a chill in the air. Our high was only 69˚F, and now it's 49˚F. Maybe the chill will be gone, and I will spend the day lying in the sun, smoking Camel cigarettes and drinking Pimm's straight from the bottle and popping extra-strength Tylenol like the quaaludes of yore. And maybe I'll just pretend this whole goddamn pandemic thing never fucking happened.

I think I've only managed to digest about 4,000 calories in the past seven days.

But I did work today. I got Sirenia Digest #170 out to subscribers, only about two months late. The plan had been to immediately begin a new story tomorrow. But I can no longer make that promise.

Oh, and I went outside for the first time in a week.

If you haven't seen the first episode of Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, you should. It's very good, or at least I thought so.

As of tonight, the ADPH has confirmed 6,421 cases of Covid-19 in Alabama, with 839 cases in Jefferson County and 311 cases in Shelby County.
