March 17th, 2019

Today was a good day.

A little cool, but the sun was bright and the sky was clear. Currently, it's 52˚F.

Today, I did (wait for it) 1,870 words on The Tinadlos Asset. That's 3,557 words in two days, in about eight hours of writing. Plus, this morning I edited everything I wrote yesterday.

Spooky finished a new necklace. She also finished the new Edward Gorey biography, Born to Be Posthumous: The Eccentric Life and Mysterious Genius of Edward Gorey, by Mark Dery (2018).

getting in the car to go to the market, I very nearly stepped on a freshly deceased Southeastern shrew (Sorex longirostris). I think I know the cat who did the deed.

We made a modest and delicous St. Patrick's Day dinner. I cooked a big pot of cabbage (with carrots, onions, cloves, garlic, thyme, and parsley), and Spooky made a marvelous shepherd's pie. And we had it with Guinness. Sadly, no soda bread was to be had hereabouts, and we didn't realize this until it was really too late to bake any ourselves.

I hung my flag this morning, facing south.
