"Children look up. All they hear is sky-blue bells ringing."

Sunny this morning, but there's a chill and virtually nothing out there is green. Currently, it's 56˚F. No cloud in the hungry sky.

You may have noted these entries aren't turning up on Dreamwidth. The user interface at Dreamwidth is just too counter-intuitive and complex, and I have not had the time or energy or interest to deal with it.

No writing yesterday. Like much of last week, yesterday was a loss. And it's mostly my own fault. I've almost finished with Cormac McCarthy's Outer Dark (1968). I'm listening to a lot of R.E.M. It almost seems like the only thing I want to hear just now. Today, I need to try and finish writing "In the Flat Field" and get Sirenia Digest No. 135 out before the Saturday evening. How can it be Friday already? How can it already be 2017?
