"But I'll forgive and make it right, if It freezes up tonight." (6.5 Vicodin)

Because I have to buy a few new threads for New Orleans, we're having a round of eBay auctions for that express purpose. And if you're a kiddo unfamiliar with the slang of bygone eras, by "threads" I mean "clothing," natch. Please have a look. More items will be added. AND! Each winning bidder will receive a monster doodle with her or his book/s! Thank you.

The last time I was in New Orleans was October 1999.

The last couple of days I've been working on a new short story. I'm not going to say much about it it today, not even speak the title. I'm still too uncertain of the piece, which wants to be rather lengthy, I fear. Yesterday, I wrote 1,481 words, and on Sunday I wrote 1,161. It feels good to be writing short fiction. In the evenings, I find I'm not dreading the next day's work. Which is different.

The weather's turned cool here again. Presently, it's only 68˚F. On June fourth. Yeah.

Not much else to report. Spooky and I have been binging on Damages. We watched all of Season Two over the last couple of nights. I really do adore Rose Byrne. I've been reading, mostly technical, nonfiction stuff. I've begun the March Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology (33:2) with "Vertebrate paleontology of the Cloverly Formation (Lower Cretaceous), I:Faunal composition, biogeographic relationships, and sampling."

It would be nice to make another trip to South County and the shore, but not until the weather warms up again.
