Warmer today. Our high was 93F, with a heat index of 94F. And I had a very bad day, the sort of day that makes one wonder what is the point of all this. I woke at 12:30 a.m. last night, and I got up and wrote a section for the next turtle paper, including topographic calculations. I went back to bed and slept until 5:30 a.m., when I got up and wrote the next section of The Night Watchers , which came to 1,082 words. The rest of the day was worthless.
