Consumer Psychotherapy (227)
Chilly still. Chilly for some days to come, despite the green. Our high today was 60F, but at least we had the sun.
Not much of a day. I got up at 5 a.m. to write, then discovered I was not ready to begin to start the next section. But I worked it out today, so I can do it in the morning.
On this day in 1937 H.P. Lovecraft died.
Some comments I posted to Twitter today
It's not just that the mob isn't always right, it's that it has a startling tendency to be wrong, and, besides, mob rule...when exactly did that become more attractive that democracy? Bullying your opponent into complying with your wishes may achieve your desired result in the short run, but it will likely backfire, in the long run, by creating even stronger feelings of resentment, and the tables can turn very quickly.

People obviously have forgotten or never have known how reluctant the US people were to see the country enter both WWI and WWII. In both cases, popular opinion ran against involvement, and the wars were largely seen as European problems.
This afternoon's film was Matt Reeves' The Batman (2022). I've likely said this before, but it's probably my favorite Batman film, followed by Batman Returns (1992) and The Dark Knight Rises, and, interestingly, all three feature Catwoman. But I believe Zoë Kravitz might be my favorite Catwoman ever.
Please had a look at the Dreaming Squid Sundries shop. Cool stuff.
Later Tater Beans,
