Not the Entry I Planned (156)
Rainy today, stormy at one point. Our high was 70˚F, at about noon, and it's been slowly dropping as the cold front behind the storm moves through. Nothing at all like the last cold front. Just a brief cooling.
So, I had this marvelous long LJ entry planned for today, and having to try and track down the password to my Dreamwidth account, and then failing, and then my ancient, ailing iMac mysteriously locking up, and....well, you'll get some version tomorrow of the entry I meant this to be.
But I will say this. I went to bed at 11 p.m. and was asleep instantly. I woke at 3 a.m., 100% awake. I got up at 4 a.m. and finally wrote the first 1,058 words of "Discord in Antracite," the story I mentioned way back on December 23rd, but have been unable to get started. Now it's started. Anyway, then I went back to bed about 5:30 a.m. and slept until almost 7, when I got up for good. I do not recommend this sort of writing schedule. This new story is being written for Sirenia Digest 202.
Happy Birthday, Ellen Datlow.
Oh, and I signed a bunch of books today, which reminds me, please have a look at the Big Cartel shop, which sells my books and Spooky's tie-dying. Thank you.
