This was the sort of day that I think of as Halloween in Alabama. Rainy, foggy, a little wind tosses leaves about, a high of 63˚F.

Sadly, Halloween is tomorrow, and the sun will be back.

Today, Spooky carved out jack-o'-lantern. Me, I didn't get much of anything done. I was awake half the night and didn't get up until 7 a.m. But with dog as my witness, tomorrow the final ms. for Bradbury Weather is going to Subterranean Press tomorrow.

Three documentaries on Mt. Everest, including one of search for the fate of Mallory and Irvine.

What we get from this adventure is just sheer joy. And joy is, after all, the end of life. We do not live to eat and make money. ~ George Leigh Mallory

Man, I miss when the Discovery Channel was a place where one could go for good science documentaries, back in the 80s and early 90s, instead of the cesspool of reality TV it has become. You kids won't remember that.
