"And in that land beyond the skies..."

Mostly sunny today. Our high was 78˚F, and it's now 59˚F.

Not as much to report today.I slept an hour late. My stomach is still vile, and it's slowing me down. And there was a lot more line-editing and polishing to be done on "The Great Blood and Bruised Veil of the World" than I'd expected. That's usually a good sign, though. I like the story even more this evening. But I didn't get Sirenia Digest #170 laid out, so I'll do that tomorrow morning. It's coming, really.

For dinner, I had a boiled potato with unsalted butter and three pieces of boiled bacon.

I am actually craving company. I am desperate for conversation (and roleplay). I'm spending so much time in Second Life, actually being semi-social. And apparently it's not just me. Second Life has seen "a 60 percent increase in new registrations and a 10 percent increase in the number of returning users" since the beginning of the pandemic, and you can feel it on the grid.

As of this evening, the ADPH is reporting 6,213 cases of Covid-19 in Alabama, with 828 cases in Jefferson County and 298 in Shelby.
