A cold day today, cold, but sunny, our high was 49˚F. Our low tonight will likely be 27˚F, and it's currently 34˚F.

Today was the release of my first new paleontological paper since 2004, coauthored with Drew Gentry (lead author) and Jun Ebersole, based, in part, on a fossil turtle I collected in 2001 and 2002: "Asmodochelys parhami, a new fossil marine turtle from the Campanian Demopolis Chalk and the stratigraphic congruence of competing marine turtle phylogenies." A specimen I found 18 years ago, and finally it's in the literature.

Otherwise, today Kathryn and I availed ourselves of Disney+ and watched "Steamboat Willie" (1928), "Lonesome Ghosts" (1937), Fantasia (1940), and Fantasia 2000 (1999).

Congratulations on the release of the paper. Eighteen years is quite some time, but I'm glad your return home has brought you closer to these things you were once so involved in.
