Shorter Hours

Currently, it's sunny and clear and 82˚F, with the heat index at 81˚F.

Yesterday was a McWane day, and a good one, and it put me in much better spirits. I'm pretty much done with the back half of Alfred's left jaw, which means the specimen will finally be completely compared. Next time, Jun and I will be cutting the field jacket down for storage, and then I'll be moving on to another large Tylosaurus proriger skull.

There was also a lot business-related email yesterday. A check from the publisher who's releasing a German translation of The Drowning Girl is tied up over paperwork related to European taxes. I printed out and Spooky mailed the contracts for my next Subterranean Press short story collection, to be titled Vile Affections (due out in 2021). Etc. and etc.

Having finished Season Two of Mindhunter, which was quite good, we have started watching Better Call Saul again. For some reason, we stopped after Season Two. Anyway, we've started over from the beginning.

Please have a look at the current eBay auctions, as well as Spooky's Dreaming Squid Dollworks and Sundries Etsy shop. She'll be putting up some new items later today, as it happens. Until missing checks show up, things are slim around here. Actually, things will probably still be slim afterwards. These are skinny days.
