The storm has passed. It's still a little windy, still overcast, but the day seems absolutely becalmed by comparison to yesterday. Currently, it's 41˚F, with the windchill at 31˚F.
My reading went well yesterday, I think. I read two of the new sections from Black Helicopters, and I don't think I'd ever read either aloud, before. So, it was a relief to hear them work the way I'd intended.
Tonight is our last night at the hotel, and it will be good to get back to the cats and some semblance of normalcy. I feel as if I haven't stopped moving for two weeks.
A few more things I posted to Facebook, two from day before yesterday, one from this morning:
~ Installed at a suite in the Biltmore. I can honestly say this is the nicest hotel room I have ever had. Thank you, StokerCon. I keep imagining Frank Sinatra and various Mafioso entertaining in this suite. Maybe toss in a few Kennedys. Extra dry martinis, Cuban cigars, and pricey hookers, all round!
~ Sitting here in the Biltmore, looking down at the bus mall and skaters on the ice rink, bracing for the coming nor'easter, and only a few days ago I was enjoying the sunny, subtropical splendor of Alabama. Whee.
~ The whole gif thing has done nothing to improve the quality of discourse on Facebook. (Replying to this with gifs will merely prove my point, not indicate any actual wit on your part.)
