Purgatory Again

We made it back to Providence about 9:30 last night.

Currently, it's sunny and 46˚F here, with the windchill at 40˚F. There's no heat at all in the sun; it's only there as a taunt. In Birmingham, it's 54˚F, and the high will be 70˚F. Our high will be 50˚F. There's no sign of green here, just bare limbs and that vacant blue sky hanging over this squalid oyster-colored city.

I did pretty good yesterday, coming back, until we crossed into Pennsylvania.

Later,
Aunt Beast

6:06 p.m. (crossing the Hudson at Newburgh)

"Squalid oyster-colored" is amazing both as an image and soundwise - but I'm sorry the Northeast doesn't have better to offer you right now.
