It was supposed to be a shitty, rainy day, but I awoke to sun and a clear sky, which has since turned slightly hazy. There may be storms this evening. Currently, it's 72˚F and the air through my open office window smells like rain.

I tried yesterday to make substantial progress in the introduction for The Haunting of Hill House, but mostly I sat here reading the book, instead of writing about it. I must endeavor to do better today. I have a ghost story to write this month. And something for Sirenia Digest No. 137. The truth is that I suck at writing about books, though I am quite good at reading them.

Last night, after spaghetti, we played GW2. I rolled a new Norn guardian whom I named Asta Magnhild Hrafn. She goes by Mags, and sometimes Magpie. One of the many things I love about GW2 is that you can write out full names for your characters, with spaces between them and everything. When Asta reaches Level 80, she will be, I think, the seventeenth character I'll have level capped in the game.
