"I was surprised when you called me a lady..."

Sunny here and 62˚F. But there's a wind gusting to 25 mph that's keeping a chill in the air, and there's still virtually no sign of green.

Today is the thirteenth anniversary of this journal, which was begun on this day in 2004.

And the car is doing it's best, with the help of unscrupulous mechanics, to conspire to keep us from leaving Providence on Monday morning. Since Tuesday, life has been car drama, and today the car drama continues.

No writing yesterday. At this point, I'll be finishing "In the Flat Field" in Alabama.
