If all goes as planned, beginning tomorrow I'll be making these posts to my Dreamwidth account, and then mirroring them here. I'll cease mirroring them here on April 15th, which will mark the thirteenth anniversary of this journal. It will then continue solely at Dreamwidth. I'm trying to do my last transfer from LJ to DW, and I've been sitting in the queue for 23 hours now. I think we are deep into the mass exodus.

Sunny this morning, and it's warmer. Currently, it's already 57˚F, with no windchill. Our high is supposed to be 73˚F, a genuine spring temperature. Maybe things will begin to green this week.

Kathryn and I will be laving for Birmingham on either the 17th or 18th. We have a lot to get done between now and then. I need to try and get Sirenia Digest #135 done. We have to have the car looked at, and Hubero has another vet visit, and there's about a hundred other things. By automobile, the trip is a little more than 1,100 miles each way (~1,800 km) and we'll be doing it over two days. I am relieved that so few days remain between us and the trip.

Yesterday, I wrote the introduction for the forthcoming Gauntlet Press edition of Clive Barker's Everville. The introduction mostly concerns the first time I met Clive, in New Orleans, at the 20th annual World Fantasy Convention in October 1994. I was only thirty years old, and while a few of my short stories had sold, none had yet appeared in print. I was writing Silk. It was my first convention, and I bought Everville at Garden City Book Shop and Clive signed it. I was smitten.

Today, I need to write fiction. Today's photo is by Spooky, the big tree outside the pantry window, view to the northwest.

Resistance, Peace, and Compassion,
Aunt Beast

It comes from Live Journal listed as Grey Girl Beast. I don't know how to find the feed on Facebook.
