It'll chew you up and spit you out.

I'm not really up for a blog entry today, so this will be short. Currently, it's sunny and 53˚F here in Providence, with a windchill at 47˚F. But we have a wind advisory at the moment, and a winter storm watch begins this evening. Snow is on the way. I'd hoped we wouldn't have any more this year, but it pretty much always snows in March.

My grateful thanks to everyone who donated yesterday to cover Hubero's unexpected vet bills (tooth extraction, blood work, etc.). Spooky and I thank you immensely. Hubero says thank you, too. And he rarely ever does that.

Tonight, I will be reading and signing Agents of Dreamland at Savoy Books in Westerly, Rhode Island. If you're in Westerly 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., stop by.

Resistance, Peace, and Compassion,
Aunt Beast

Agents of Dreamland came in the mail two days ago. I devoured it. Loved every second of it.

I try not to let Trump get me down too much, because even as the superficial support to his absurd statements is focused upon in the news, society as a whole is being conditioned to tolerance as they come to terms with life outside their small range of experience. I have to remind myself that many people who seem to hold to intolerance are really just "afraid of the dark." And I think most Trump voters know that he is full of it, when it all boils down. Even if congress passes some silly legislation while the Republicans are in the driver's seat, I can't imagine that the more ridiculous portions will hold on for very long. With the extreme sensationalism of our media, it helps me to remember that the vast majority of people in America are really just average people doing their daily thing and not extremists in either direction.
