Tonight is the book launch for Agents of Dreamland at Lovecraft Arts & Sciences Council here in downtown Providence (The Arcade, 65 Weybosset Street). Though the street date for the book isn't until the 28th, Tor.com got copies to the shop, so it will be on sale. Sonya Taaffe will be reading before me, and then she'll do a question and answer session with me, afterwards. I hope to see you there.
Last night, I dropped my Lamictal dose from 150mg back down to 100mg, because it's been messing up my stomach.
So, since sometime back in the autumn I've been threatening to have all of my hair cut off. Yesterday, I went to Hairlab on Wickenden Street and did it. There are photos behind the cut, below. Something like fourteen or fifteen inches came off. I felt a razor on the back of my neck for the first time in thirty years. It's actually possible this is the shortest haircut I've ever had, all the way back to infancy. And I'm actually going to be shaving the sides closer in a few days. A good bit of the jettisoned hair will be going to a charity, though we have yet to settle on one. I'm really extremely happy with this cut. As I told someone yesterday, I feel as if a great weight has been lifted from off me.

Resistance, Peace, and Compassion,
