Beautiful shot of the flower.

Your cat w. the chin problem, how is he now? Did you find out what it is or what is causing it? Our 12 yr old cat Gizmo has had the irritated chin which sounds the same. There was a small abscess on one side that we drained but there are still scabs or something elsewhere over the chin.

It seems to be acne. It responded beautifully to antibiotics, and then got bad again on Friday. I got some medicated pads from the vet and it was back to pretty much normal by Sunday, which is a good thing.

Thank you. I'm glad it is better for your cat. Did the vet say if it will continue to be a problem or can it be cleared up?

After the abscess healed Gizmo's chin has been better but he still has a few small bumps we can feel. I will call the vet if it gets worse again and esp if it abscesses again.

I have been washing his face and chin a few times a wk for the several months and probably need to do it daily now. Our cat who used to wash Gizmo's face passed away earlier in the year and at first I didn't realize Giz did not wash his own face. These 2 were always grooming one another's heads and faces (11-12 years). Gizmo grooms everywhere else but not his ears and head.

A beautiful shot of a beautiful flower.

(We cannot have any type of live growth within the shoebox as our beast will most certainly eat it.)

The flower is very beautiful.

Spooky talking to Hubero

How's Hubero doing? When last I heard, he was opening drawers in the vet's office.

Chin got nasty and swollen again on Friday, after having cleared up beautifully with antibiotics. Vet gave me some acne wipes for pets and that solved the issue by Sunday. I never knew feline acne could cause the chin to swell to twice its normal size, but since it responded so fast to the wipes, that seems to be what it is.

I had no idea either. That sounds unnerving; I'm glad the wipes worked and he's all right!
