Sunny today and chilly. It's 63˚F. In Birmingham, it's a more congenial 71˚F, but Birmingham is Trump country.

Yesterday was pretty much a loss. I managed to proofread one story from Dear Sweet Filthy World, "–30–" (Sirenia Digest #61, December 2010). Today has to be vastly more productive. I'm going to lose two days next week to the reading in Manhattan; I can't afford this.

I'm sorry to hear about your anxiety. They say that sometimes it helps when you set up easy tasks to check off when things start to become overwhelming that way you can get a feeling of steadfastness and accomplishment built up for the harder items. Would it be possible to work on proofing the galleys a bit outdoors?

Also, as of this morning Clinton is still in the lead by a +5.5% spread. Take heart.

Thank you for Sirenia Digest #129, every single piece of it was enthralling.
(I still have shivers from N.)

Thank you for the Lord Huron suggestions the past few days. Their lyrics remind me of your prose.

Please accept this assurance from a stranger: you're going to be fine. All the blanks will be filled in.

I wish I could dash over to Manhattan to hear you read.
