Howard Hughes and the Last Dodo

Here in Providence, it's only 60˚F. The wide sky could not be bluer. Nor could it be hungrier. A good day to stay in and keep my head down. I went out for a brief walk yesterday, the first time I'd left the house in two days.

Yesterday, I added 1,357 words to the novella, which I may give up and call M is for Mars, unless some better title presents itself at the very last moment. I did not, however, find THE END. I stopped for the day with likely no more than a hundred words to go. But after five hours of writing and editing, I was fried. So, today I finish. I'd hoped to be done by Thursday (Sept. 22), but this thing does what this thing does. It ain't rocket science.

My grateful thanks to everyone who commented yesterday. We are an exclusive group, those who still attend to LiveJournal. Yes, I have Twitter and Facebook accounts, but this is my home on the web (Since 2004).

Probably, the best part of yesterday was watching Fuzzbox videos with Spooky. Otherwise, it was all work and lowered expectations.

Please have a look at the current eBay auctions. Thank you kindly.

Time to make the doughnuts. But I bet you knew that already, natch.

Not the void
I just wanted to let you know, that the words you put down here don't fall into empty space. Each morning I have started to eagerly await your new blog post, but I missed yesterday because I had to drive out to New Hampshire to get a new car, and then head back over to the Boston Teen Author fest to get some signatures for my collection. But, I'm here, and I see. And I'm so grateful for your writing.

I don't usually comment, but I do try to read every entry. I get email notifications for new entries you make. It's just about the only thing left on LJ that I pay attention to.

I missed yesterday's comment party because I am that bad at commenting on your posts. Anyway, reading your entries is part of my daily routine, and I don't do the book of face so I'm glad you and others haven't left LJ.

I'm sorry I'm not commenting. I don't mean to leave you hanging out in the void, I'm just suffering from a lot of social anxiety and it makes me afraid to post. My void has many sharp, pointy teeth.
On a lighter level...did it ever get to the predicted 80F?

I was never on live journal, or MySpace, or any of the places where the young people convened. I play it too close to the chest to share much of my life, and who is paying attention, anyway? Not even me.

Blue skies, open windows, loud crickets.
