Very windy today, cloudy, and still cold. Which is how it will be, I think, until May. Currently, it's 54˚F.

I've not been outside since Friday, April 1st.

Sirenia Digest #122 went out to subscribers yesterday.

And that's all I have today.

Thanks for Sirenia Digest #122. It's turning out to be the brightest point in my life. Loved the story.

cold spring
I'm re-reading "Daughter of Hounds". What a fantastic piece of writing!

You should get out more. I'm on an island off the coast of Maine. It can't be that different from Rhode Island. If you wander the woods & meadows, you can just feel the plants waiting to bloom. Also the ducks are all paired up in their little vernal ponds. It's still very austere but you can really sense how the plants and animals are getting ready to come and join yet another round of the dance.

But you've got to go outside and tromp around a bit to see that.

Here in PA it is the 50's and raining at 11PM- I have the windows open. It is soothing- CO weed and rain go well together!

I am buying an Estemmenosuchus sculpture. Wicked cool.

A dark and stromy night.
Yeah, yeah yeah, the cold. Industry has left the area, so the wild life has come back. Loads of raptors. Bunny on my steps. The county seat thought they should import some vultures to clean up the road kill. How can a vulture eat on a road, when a quick little bunny can't cross the road? Still, the vultures are doing fine.
