A name, a date.

So, to answer my question as to the identity of the sculptor who did the Poe bust at the Hay, I realized the answer was right there under my nose, that you coiuld see a name and a date on one of the photos I took. So, I enlarged it:

A.B. Cianfarani
MCMXXVII

Aristide Berto Cianfarani (1895-1960) was an Italian-born sculptor who studied at the Rhode Island School of Design. Mystery solved.

Thank you for the photos. And for sharing the experience of what the Hay has become for you.

Nice. It would be great if you found Joanna Cassidy wearing a scarf in the photo.

The photo analysis from Blade Runner:

I was going to make a reference to Antonioni's Blowup but I figured you'd appreciate Blade Runner more.

Nice work!

I started to comment but logged off to check my facts and- well, wow- I wanted to comment about a sculpture at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in DC, and I did not know the sculptors name, but I knew the name of the piece. I did a watercolor painting from a photo of it. Which I took. Exquisite piece of art. Very... Delicate. Gentle. I googled this: The Sons Of God Saw The Daughters Of Man That They Were Fair. Boom. Daniel French, 1923. Here's the kicker- he also sculpted Abe. In the Lincoln Memorial. I feel like a lazy slug right now.
