Thought I'd share the gift from faustfatale that was waiting for me when I woke up this morning. Pretty much the first thing I saw. Every day should begin that way. Thanks, Iphy.

When such an artform - devoted to the idea of an imposed torturous artificial perfection (and this is speaking as a ballet enthusiast) - inverts and subverts that ideal, then the true beauty is revealed.

Who is the choreographer, and with what dance troupe? I can definitely see a Merce Cunningham influence. A very interesting and at times quite evocative piece.

Compagnie Marie Chouinard, a dance troupe from Montreal, founded in 1990 by Marie Chouinard.

I really need to find out more about them.
